I have the honour to acknowledge receipt of Your Excellency's letter of 26th inst. on the subject of my proposal for carrying out the extension of the Praya which appears for the reasons stated to be impracticable.
2. I would now suggest that the Surveyor General should be authorized to place himself in direct communication with the Commanding Royal Engineer in order to arrange for carrying out one of the original proposals for executing this important work.
